The original Members of the United Nations shall be the states which, having participated in the United Nations Conference on International Organization at San Francisco, or having previously signed the Declaration by United Nations of 1 January 1942, sign the present Charter and ratify it in accordance with Article 110.
La originaj membroj de la Unuiĝintaj Nacioj estas la ŝtatoj kiuj, partopreninte en la Konferenco de la Unuiĝintaj Nacioj por la Internacia Organizaĵo en San-Francisko aŭ subskribinte antaŭe la Deklaracion de la Unuiĝintaj Nacioj de la 1-a de januaro 1942, subskribas tiun ĉi ĉarton kaj ratifas ĝin konforme al la Artikolo 110.
A Member of the United Nations against which preventive or enforcement action has been taken by the Security Council may be suspended from the exercise of the rights and privileges of membership by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Security Council. The exercise of these rights and privileges may be restored by the Security Council.
A Member of the United Nations which has persistently violated the Principles contained in the present Charter may be expelled from the Organization by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Security Council.
Al membro de la Organizo, kontraŭ kiu antaŭmalhelpa aŭ perforta ago estas entreprenita fare de la Konsilio pro Sekureco, suspendeblas fare de la Ĝenerala Asembleo, laŭ rekomendo de la Konsilio pri Sekureco, la uzado de ĝiaj rajtoj kaj privilegioj devenaj de ĝia membreco. La uzado de tiuj rajtoj kaj privilegioj restarigeblas per la Konsilio pri Sekureco.
Se membro rompas persiste la principojn eldiritajn en tiu ĉi ĉarto, ĝi povas esti ekskludita el la Organizo per la Ĝenerala Asembleo laŭ rekomendo de la Konsilio pri Sekureco.
